Aquinnah Bree is the author of A Tempest of Roses. Always exploring the definition of home, you can usually find her somewhere between Colorado and the East Coast. She loves long walks in the sunshine, reading, and the healing arts.
Long Story, Short
Aquinnah Bree has been a storyteller since before she could actually speak English words and long before she decided that the Oxford comma is overrated (but still has to use it). Growing up, she enjoyed making up stories for her friends and her two younger brothers and liked to believe that her bed was really a winged horse in disguise. At age seven, her thirst for books became insatiable, and she began writing her own short stories.
By the time the sixth grade rolled around, even her winged horse bed and extra dance classes could not have kept Aquinnah from her writing. It was no longer about the wanting alone but about the needing to write, too. Her sixth-grade English teacher recognized and cultivated that passion, turning it simultaneously manageable and more fun than ever. Practically bubbling over with words words words, Aquinnah, age 12, embarked on her first fantasy novel. This project would eventually (insert years of writing, learning, editing, learning how to take constructive criticism, editing, learning, people-watching, ah-ha moments, tears, and kisses from her dog) become A Tempest of Roses. She is always striving to make readers feel at home in her world.
Aquinnah is a Praxis alumna and works with clients to help them bring their stories to life. Always exploring the definition of home, you can usually find her somewhere between Colorado and the East Coast. To stay up-to-date with Aquinnah and her writing, don’t forget to sign up for her newsletter, which is mercifully free of her talking about herself in the third person.
